Our life experience, while sometimes painful, lets us be of greater service to you as parents. We know firsthand about: grieving a parent, growing up with divorced parents, parenting through divorce, blending families, and the differences in nurturing boys and girls.

If you’re like us, sometimes you’ve found yourself brandishing a “sword” when your kid just wanted you to listen for a minute. On the other hand, some popular interpretations of parenting ideas seem to have us becoming another “mother” or giving all our authority away to the children. So what are our roles as modern fathers?  When do we need the sword and shield…and when can we put them aside? And what are some practical tools we can take with us after the weekend retreat is over?
