 — Children who rated our camp on a scale of 1-10

THANK you and Michael for this amazing experience! Definitely the best camp my son has ever been to. He is in paradise and I am too, seeing all the happy, happy boys and knowing that he is in SUCH good hands. I feel so grateful for this chance to be around you both!

—Kami, parent of 7-year-old boy

For two years, we’ve been searching for a camp with this sense of peace! And even better, he brings that peace home with him each day.

—Lauren, Mother of 10-year-old boy

Can she be in Green Girls for the rest of her life?

—B., Mother of 11-year-old  girl who began at age 6

FALL PROGRAMS–RITES OF PASSAGE

OUTDOOR ADVENTURE PROGRAM

for boys ages 11+

PLANNING IN PROCESS–BACK BY REQUEST! Join Michael for this series of “guy time” adventures with hiking, canoeing, cooperative games, yoga, optional catch & release fishing, drumming, practice in leadership and common-sense values and FUN! Two of the most important components for boys are the chance to take healthy risks and to work towards a purpose.  We love this! Ratio is 4 campers to 1 adult. Adventure leaders are trained in outdoor survival, CPR & First Aid, and have passed background checks.

Participants bring their own water, trail snack and lunch. We’ll help families connect with each other, if desired, to carpool.  For a “go,” we need 4-6 participants. Fee includes entrance costs for an indoor activity in case of bad weather. If we don’t have bad weather, we’ll use the resources for an outdoor location that has additional fees.

BOYS COACH IN TRAINING II

June 18 – 29, Monday through Friday (for campers new to Minds in Motion)

Includes the fun of our younger kids’ camps, as well as a Coaches in Training program for exceptional boys who want to explore leadership opportunities in apprenticeships in our camps for younger children; completing/renewing official CPR/First Aid training. Upon successful completion of this camp, a boy can serve as a volunteer apprentice coach, Level I, in some of our other programs. Not all boys who enroll in the June camp will be placed in this year’s camps as apprentices; they may need to wait until next summer or apprentice in some of our school-year programs. Also, it’s not requirement to become an apprentice; a boy could come to camp just for the fun of it! Looking to the future, the Coaches in Training Program will include three levels of apprenticeships with an end-goal opportunity to interview for paid positions in our camps once they are old enough.
